HOW WE STARTED
This tour starts at your Hotel Lobby. Imagine you are going to visit a Tipical Mexican mining town where time has stopped in the 18th century.
San Sebastian originally settled in 1605, is located only 90 minutes east from Puerto Vallarta on highway 544, We will see the rural life and landscape from the vehicle stopping at Potrero de abajo as a technique stop to use toilets also for a really good picture opportunity of the canyon since we have already climed over 1500 meters on the majestic Sierra Madre mountains.
Just before we enter into San Sebastian you are going to visit a family owned coffee business where you will have the chance to walk through their yard (coffee plantation) taste and buy their high demand product. Just across the street we will visit Hacienda Jalisco former mecca of silver from the XVII century. San Sebastian reached its peak of prosperity in the 1700s, with 20,000 people living in the area. Over the years the town’s population decreased as gold and silver mines shutdown in the XIX century.
Just one minute away we’ll enter in to San Sebastian now and tour this colonial Magic town walking and visiting the church, the zocalo or main square, the must visit Doña Conchita Private Museum and FREE TIME TO Let history call you. Go on any direction that you feel like and as you walk through these reduced cobblestone streets use your imagination and flow with them (Don’t get lost and bring a camera with you to capture the beauty of colonial homes and lifestyle just infront of you.
We’ll meet after 30 minutes of this free time to go have a really good home made meal. After lunch we’ll hit the road again back to Puerto Vallarta stopping at a Tequila Tasting Gallery and try the most popular souvenir of Mexico “Tequila” After tequila we’ll get back in the vehicle and back to your hotel.
